Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This is a short page because we have a simple approach to cookies: we only use the ones that are strictly necessary for the service to work. No advertising. No tracking. No third-party marketing cookies.
What cookies we use
Oneway uses essential cookies only. These are required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled without breaking the service.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session token | Keeps you logged in to your Oneway account | Until you log out or 30 days of inactivity |
| CSRF token | Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks | Session (cleared when you close the browser) |
| Preferences | Remembers your settings (theme, language, sidebar state) | 1 year |
What we don't use
- No advertising cookies — we don't run ads or track you for ad targeting
- No third-party tracking cookies — no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no retargeting scripts
- No social media cookies — we don't embed social media trackers
- No analytics cookies — we collect usage data internally through our own application, not through third-party cookie-based analytics
Cookie consent
Under GDPR and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. Since Oneway only uses essential cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner. We believe this is the honest approach — rather than asking you to "accept all cookies" and burying tracking in fine print, we simply don't track you.
The chat widget
When your customers interact with the Oneway chat widget on your website, the widget uses localStorage (not cookies) to maintain the conversation session. This stores a visitor identifier and conversation state locally in the customer's browser. No data is sent to third parties.
Managing cookies
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Be aware that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to Oneway.
